Introducing Kenneth's line for QVC

CELEBRITY INTERIOR DESIGNER KENNETH BROWN TO LAUNCH LUXE BEDDING LINE WITH QVC

Sneak Peek

My fall collection for QVC is rolling in and I thought I’d give a sneak peek at some fun pieces. The concept for this line was about getting in touch with the Kenneth Brown look. You’ll see this in the color palette, varying textures and reflective surfaces. Using one or all of these pieces will give you’re room the ‘wow’ effect we set out to achieve when we tackle a design project.

Inspired by the starburst mirrors from the 40’s, I wanted the rays to be mirrored and set against rich gold tones. The size is perfect at 24” in overall diameter and can grouped together or hung alone. I recently used them in groups of 3 in a celebrity client’s dining room. If you want to update a small bathroom hang it and wait for the rave reviews from friends and neighbors.

We all need a piece that adds a worldly flair to our design. That is the thinking behind my pouf with a large flower design in matching welt. It’s great as a foot stool or as an extra place to sit when you have people over. Inspired by my travels to Egypt, this piece adds the unexpected element to any style.

For years, I’ve napped on my sofa with an over-sized faux fur throw. It is the best feeling in the world. The biggest problem was that all throws I found in retail stores were not big enough to really wrap up in. That’s why my 2 new throws are over 100” in length - big enough to use as bedspread too! The faux fur in snow leopard and zebra are already in high demand.

Designers always use pillows to give a room the finishing touch. I am tired of seeing 2 matching pillows on sofas and beds and want you to feel safe decorating with pillows that are all different in style. Part of my new collection is a set of 3 decorative pillows (called dec pillows in the industry) The set offers my favorite elements, unusual texture that is soft to the hand (small pillow), understated details with a tonal beaded pattern (the mostly solid colored pillow), something that catches the eye such as the rhinestone button in the middle of the larger pillow. Add all this together with my signature color palette and we have ourselves a beautiful affordable set of pillows!

It’s Spring and I’m working on Fall!
I am excited to share a little info on my fall ‘09 QVC line.  The palette will be based in rich solid colors in an amazing mix of textures.  One big request I heard from many of you is the need for good solid, yet stylish (and not boring) bedding.  My color palettes are rich hues with metallic undertones.  I will also be including more home accessories that will tie your home together - all at reasonable prices.

Check back often - I’ll start sharing some photos of samples soon!

The rugs are a fan favorite -the 100% wool and rich warm colors are perfect to finish a room’s design.  The runners will make the often forgotten hallway feel like a million dollars.

It has taken over a year to design and manufacture my first line of bedding, decorative pillows, throws, bed crown, and rugs. Airing January 12th at 10pm Eastern on QVC you can see my entire collection including one of my favorites, my bed scarf. This oversized scarf should be treated as fashion for you home and easily tossed across the end of your bed. Its light weight material is a perfect addition to any bedroom and perfect way to add instant design to your home. (In photo: color palettes in rich greens, blues, burgundy, plum and gold. A variety of artwork showing my area rugs (far left), bed scarf, signature sheet pattern and decorative pillow with a broach attached. A bedroom should be a place that is warm and inviting and my color palettes were inspired by the romantic colors found in the historic homes of New Orleans. Your bedroom should be a place that refreshes and relaxes you – after all, it is the room you start and end your day in. The most important room in the house deserves the best design.

My area rugs come in a 6’ x 9’ and a 2’-6” x 10’ runner. I was inspired by the olive branch which represents promise and peace. The oversized pattern is available in gold, rust, olive and brown. Made of 100% wool and hand carved along the pattern to add my designer’s touch, this rug will treat your feet to a luxurious retreat and not hurt the pocket book. No matter what your current flooring is, this rug can give any room an instant make-over making it feel fresh and new.

Be sure to tune into QVC on January 12th at 10PM (ET) 7PM (PT)!
